The Memphis community gathered for the grand opening celebration of Crosstown Concourse, scheduled nearly 90 years to the day of the original Sears Crosstown grand opening in August 1927. This celebration of history and rebirth showcased the organizations and businesses that courageously believed in and dedicated themselves to the creation of this one-of-a-kind vertical urban village.

Beyond the steel and the stone, the community discovered and celebrated a place where diverse interests combine to form new connections so we may become better together. It was a moment to celebrate Concourse, the Crosstown neighborhood, and the tenacity and creativity of the city as a whole. The day was full events with live music, dance performances, art exhibitions, a Concourse documentary screening, tenant open houses, and more.
